1. Who We Are
PeakClips ("we," "us," "our") operates the SaaS platform available at peakclips.tv. We provide automated clip discovery, AI scoring, rendering, and social media publishing services for Twitch streamers and content creators.
2. What We Collect
- Account Data: name, email address, password hash, account creation date.
- Twitch Integration Data: Twitch user ID, broadcaster ID, OAuth access and refresh tokens, channel metadata, clip metadata, and VOD data accessed via the Twitch API.
- Content Data: clips, thumbnails, rendered video files, and generated captions produced through our pipeline.
- Usage Data: feature usage, pipeline run logs, approval actions, publish records, error logs.
- Billing Data: Stripe customer ID, subscription plan, billing cycle, payment status. We do not store raw card numbers. Stripe handles all payment data.
- Technical Data: IP address, user agent, session tokens, Cloudflare edge request metadata.
- Communications: any messages you send us via email or support channels.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Authenticate your account and maintain your session.
- Connect to Twitch and retrieve your clips and VOD data on your behalf.
- Process, score, render, and caption your content through our automated pipeline.
- Publish approved content to the social platforms you authorize.
- Send transactional emails (magic links, billing confirmations, pipeline notifications).
- Improve platform reliability, debug issues, and analyze usage patterns.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your content to train AI models. Your clips, captions, and voice samples are used only to operate your pipeline and, on plans with Voice Clone, to build your own private voice profile. They are never shared with other creators and never used to train shared models.
4. Third-Party Services We Use
Your data may be processed by the following third-party services as part of platform operation:
- Twitch (Twitch Interactive Inc.): API access for clip and VOD retrieval.
- Supabase: database hosting and edge function execution (us-east-1).
- Cloudflare: CDN, edge routing, and Pages hosting.
- Stripe: subscription billing and payment processing.
- Resend: transactional email delivery.
- Upload-Post API: social media publishing to authorized platforms.
- Anthropic: AI caption generation. Clip metadata and, on plans with Voice Clone, writing samples you provide are processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate captions. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, API inputs are not used to train their models.
- Social platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest): publishing destinations you authorize.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We only share data with them to the extent necessary to operate the service on your behalf.
5. Data Retention
- Active account data is retained for the life of your account.
- Rendered video files are stored in your account's pipeline storage so your posting history and publish retries keep working. You can request deletion of your content at any time (see Your Rights below).
- Raw clips are not stored permanently. We access them via the Twitch API and process them transiently.
- Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations.
- Upon account deletion, we purge your personal data within 30 days, excluding data we are legally required to retain.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Portability: request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection: object to certain processing activities.

7. California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of sale. We do not sell personal information. For CCPA requests, contact us at hello@peakclips.tv.
8. European Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the EU/EEA/UK, our lawful basis for processing your data is: (a) contract performance, since we process your data to provide the service you signed up for; (b) legitimate interests, for platform security, fraud prevention, and service improvement; (c) legal obligation, for financial and compliance record-keeping.
If you believe we have processed your data in violation of GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), row-level security on our database, service-role key isolation for backend processes, and no public exposure of internal API endpoints. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
10. Children
PeakClips is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify active users by email if the changes are material.
